Nate loves adventuring with his two kids and has lived in Utah County for nearly 20 years. In that time, he has spent countless hours hiking, climbing, camping, snowboarding, offroading, and fly-fishing throughout the state–and loves the uniquely rugged, diverse, and beautiful terrain of Utah County.

A native of Minnesota, Nate spent his winters in the snow and his summers on the water–and loves playing in his native elements whenever he can.

Outside of SAR

When he’s not on the mountain, Nate is adventuring with his kids, on the soccer field, playing the drums, or actively building fun companies with great founders.

Why are you part of SAR?

I love the unique complexity that SAR poses; it requires us to solve urgent problems that are physically and mentally demanding. Operating in challenging environments and executing difficult missions–especially with such an incredibly talented team–is deeply fulfilling. There’s nothing like it.
